i’ve been working with cyanotype for ten years. i treat 95% cotton with cyanotype base, expose images i produce using a microscope, graphic design software, google images, my camera roll, etc in natural light or under indoor UV lamps and then sew the fabric into things you can wear. cyanotype is light fast and PH sensitive. they are more sculptural than meant for every day wear. like clothes you wear for prayer. you kind of remove yourself from your day to day inside of these. you run in the sprinkler until the sun fades your meaning. or whatever.
